These are a few of my projects.

 

 

The first is a work was part of a heatwave challenge.   All of us sweat.

Even kittens and zombies in this piece.

I believe the best work should start with play or at least pleasure.

When we learn to play baseball we don’t study theory for hours before we pick up a bat.

We are propelled by joy and will take on any obstacle when learning is based on pleasure.

This is my goal as a designer.  Engage people with play, humor, flaw, and even a sprinkle of beauty.

The Journey to a Travel Site

Video Project:  The Art of Roam.

This project was to promote bicycle tourism and involved:

  • Research on unique travel destinations
  • Creating a logo
  • Video editing
  • Music editing
  • Text overlay
  • Created in standard video and Youtube short

Human Resilience Meets Developer Origin Story

Online Education Project:  Coconino County–2020

In the year 2020 I was asked to work in Public Health to assist with the
Covid Response.  One of my projects was to create online training that
would allow Food Establishments and River Guides to get the training
that they needed online.

These projects involved:

  • Research on community priorities with multiple
    stakeholders
  • Creating content, tests, payment portals
  • Creating prototypes
  • Hosting options that met community needs
  • Creating databases
  • Testing
  • Going live and assessment

Outcomes:

  • $100,000 revenue for the County
  • Businesses were given an economic lifeline
  • The public had robust access and content

Follow Up:

  • In speaking with customers who took the course I realized
    that scenarios would be a better way to learn.
  • By 2022 there was a new threat concerning  a Norovirus
    Outbreak in the canyon.   As the investigation was being
    conducted we were able to post preventative safety data
    online for the public and the river guides.
  • The system continues to provide services for the community.

GOOD FOLK

“Good Folk” is my current Animation project.  Animation is  changing education, advertising, and storytelling of all kinds.   This is based on a story I’m creating about elves who are caretakers of nature.
